Women of Worship -  WOW

Thank you all!!  September’s “Noisy Offering” amounted to $230.  This will be sent to our little boy through Compassion International.  October’s offerings will go to the youth attending the ELCA National Youth Gathering.  November’s offering is ear marked for the Salvation Army to help in their holiday efforts and December’s offering will be sent to Crossway’s Camping Ministries.  Again, thanks to all.

Thanks to those who contributed magazines, hand cleaning materials, candy, money and other materials for our men in service packages.  We all know how much they will be

valued by those serving our country.

Don’t forget hats, mittens, scarves, socks, etc for the mitten tree, which will be set up in the narthex on November 4th after our next meeting.  The donated items will be going to Head Start, the Salvation Army, or, if you have any other suggestions, let us know.

Teresa Satori is organizing a cookie exchange for the early part of December.  Sounds like fun!  Let Teresa know if you are interested in participating.

We have added new kinds of coffee to our selection in the narthex, including whole bean kinds for those who like to grind their own at home.

Our next meeting will be started with pizza from Papa Murphy’s and will be held on

November 4 at 11 a.m. in the lower level Fellowship Hall at church.  See you there!

As we move into year two, here's an update from the Building Feasibility Committee

It's not that we like to eavesdrop, but lately we've overheard:

From the kitchen...

"It's so fast"   "I love it"   "Now we can use the real dishes!"

The new commercial dishwasher has had rave reviews, and people can't wait to use it more!

 From the sanctuary...

Actually, we haven't heard much - which means that the congregation HAS HEARD!  The sound system seems to have made a great improvement in the worship service since the number of complaints has decreased dramatically  (with a few glitches once in a while).

The Building Feasibility Committee has now met nearly every other week for the past year.  While the sound system and dishwasher are great accomplishments, we have been busy moving forward with more comprehensive plans for expansion and remodeling.  We are especially appreciative of the overwhelming support expressed at the special congregational meeting that gave us the financial committment allowing us to keep moving forward.

Based on the needs identified by a congregational survey, we have engaged the Groth Design Group of Cedarburg to work with us.  Bill Lodel, a Two Rivers native, has already presented us with a draft which he is refining based on recommendations from the committee.

What's next?  WE NEED YOU TO GET INVOLVED!  Within the next several weeks, we will be requesting members to participate in focus groups/feedback sessions to discuss the designs.  Watch for further announcements, or contact a committee member if you are interested in participating.

Thank you for your continued prayers and guidance as we continue to go forward with positive thoughts and a focus on achieving an environment that best serves the present and future ministry needs of our congregation.
